Where It All Began

Tyler and Victoria met in high school because Tyler's mom started dating Victoria's best friend's dad. She was told that she HAD to meet their new step-brother.

One night that Fall she spent the night there in hopes of meeting him. Then he came through the garage door, returning from Driver's Ed.

The three of them spent the rest of the night chatting, laughing, and watching movies.

The next morning he asked for her number.

The Proposal

Tyler and Victoria had a trip to Salem, MA planned for mid-October 2022. They went to the Pioneer Village to see the first few filming spots from Hocus Pocus and then began walking around the beautiful beachy park right next door. Tyler suggested they do a fake a proposal to send to Victoria’s mom. Victoria was fully convinced (honestly) that this was only going to be a prank so with her hands she began digging around the sand and dirt looking for shells they could use as a fake ring. once finding the best one and setting up our tripod, they faked a proposal. Then he pulled out the real ring he had been hiding for months!

Victoria’s Advice for Future Couples

Shop around and focus your money on things you want. We spent the majority of our budget on the venue and our photographer. The two things that make the largest impact. Wisteria is so gorgeous it doesn't need decor to make it beautiful, but there is a TON of stuff you can use for free to make it your own. Also tap into your friend's and family's skills. All of our floral were fake and arranged by my mom or our friend who have a knack for flower arrangements.
